Departure

Fully vaccinated travellers are no longer checked for Covid-19 proof of vaccination upon departure from Uganda, but will be checked by airline authorities if testing is a requirement of their country of destination or their carrier airline and thus it is recommended to travel with your proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

Unvaccinated or partially  vaccinated travellers are required to present a Covid negative test taken with 72 hours of travel upon departure from Uganda.

Children aged 5 years and below are exempt from the above requirements.

Should departure testing be required by your airline or countries to which you are travelling, standard or express tests can be arranged.  Fees are between $60-$120 per test, varying with location and turn-around time required.

Positive result on departure

Should a guest test positive when testing prior to departure from Uganda individual arrangements would be made as per the current protocols.

COVID Protocols for whilst in country

Protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic were in line with guidelines communicated by the Uganda Ministry of Health and aligned to protocols and advice from the World Health Organization.

As the situation has evolved, so too have our protocol arrangements along with the easing of restrictions around aspects such as social distancing and wearing of masks.  Your personal safety and enjoyment of your visit to Uganda is of important to us at all times.

Our front of house staff and guides are fully vaccinated and we continue with many aspects of our sanitation programmes. We do our best to ensure all potential areas of concern are covered, but should you have a particular need or concern beyond our current arrangements, we request you notify us and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.
