Uganda – Wild Frontiers – Entry, COVID-19 and Operating Protocols Information

In response to easing of global COVID-19 travel regulations, we have developed the following guidelines for travellers to Uganda for entry and exit requirements as well as the protocols for operation of all safari services and facilities utilised within areas of travel.
BEFORE TRAVEL
Visas
All visitors to Uganda that require entry visas are required to apply and obtain them up to a maximum of three months in advance of arrival into the country via the on-line application service @ $55 each on the following link https://visas.immigration.go.ug/ . Allow at least 5-7 working days for the process. Visas are not available on arrival.
Visitors should register as a “tourist” and request for a 3-month visitor visa entering the following information for the contact information required:

Arrival
- Travellers arriving into Uganda through Entebbe International Airport shall no longer be required to show proof of either COVID-19 vaccination or a pre-departure COVID-19 test. However, if transiting via another country which may have different requirements, we recommend checking before departing your home country and/or carrying your proof of vaccination.
- Travellers arriving into Uganda will be required to show proof of their Yellow Fever inoculation of at least 10 days prior to arrival.
Departure
- Travellers departing Uganda are no longer required to show proof of either COVID-19 vaccination or a pre-departure COVID-19 test but will be checked by airline authorities if testing is a requirement of their transiting or destination country.
- Should departure testing be required by your airline or countries to which you are travelling, standard or express tests can be arranged. Fees are between $60-$120 per test, varying with location and turn-around time required.
Positive result on departure
Should a guest test positive when testing prior to departure from Uganda individual arrangements would be made as per the current protocols.
COVID Protocols for whilst in country
Protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic were in line with guidelines communicated by the Uganda Ministry of Health and aligned to protocols and advice from the World Health Organization.
As the situation has evolved, so too have our protocol arrangements along with the easing of restrictions around aspects such as social distancing and wearing of masks. Your personal safety and enjoyment of your visit to Uganda is of important to us at all times.
Our front of house staff and guides are fully vaccinated and we continue with many aspects of our sanitation programmes. We do our best to ensure all potential areas of concern are covered, but should you have a particular need or concern beyond our current arrangements, we request you notify us and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.
